I saw this earlier. From the article it sounds as if it was a murder/suicide situation but they didn't come right out and say that.

Happens too frequently. Wife files for divorce and the husband can’t deal with it, gets too angry to control himself or think clearly, and kills them all. That’ll show her. now we’re all dead, is that better? Who knows why men do this.
If the father had survived and been arrested for murder there would be a lot more public interest in him. But he’s dead. .
