Please read before you troll this thread: From the beginning, Until 1752 Christmas was always celebrated on January 7th. England changed their calendar from Julian to Gregorian. And made it possible to move Christmas to coincide with Winter Solstice. So in reality, today is the REAL Christmas Day. You know it as Orthodox Christmas because they were the only ones who did not follow/agree with England's religious decree. Was is referring to the time period between Christmas and Epiphany, or was it a veiled reference to the twelve days between the original Christmas (today) mentioned by OP and traditional Christmas celebrated on December 25? There are 12 days between December 25 and January 7. |
