I'm confused. I thought she didn't like him. I thought he was deep state. Why does everyone dislike him? Just want concrete answers, not vague ones like oh, he's deep state, what in particular has he done that people don't like him.

Frankly this makes me feel a little better about what went down. McCarthy is a swamp creature, but remember, it is not just about getting the creatures out of the swamp, it is about providing an environment where such creatures will not thrive. Even if it takes some time to get all the creatures out of the swamp, the more scummy water that is drained off, it will make it harder for them to lurk beneath the surface and that seems to be what was done here.

It seems the 20 patriots looked at the reality of the situation and probably knew going into it that they probably would not be able to get anyone but McCarthy, but at least they drained some scummy water so that he could not consolidate power like Pelosi. They could have stuck to their guns at which point we still would have gotten McCarthy (he would have just kissed a few dems ass) or we would have got the dem successor Jeffries (he would have just kissed some RINO ass) and we would not have gotten any of Boebert’s or the other patriots demands met, so overall, I see this as not the war won, but an advancement of the battle line to a better place to continue fighting.

House Freedom Caucus has 45 members (20%) , but got 3 out of 9 GOP seats on the all powerful Rules Committee (33%).
Kevin Mc Carthy only wanted to give 2 seats.
3 seats is huge because it's Veto power on every bill.
