I didn’t find god. God found me. 32 years as a proud and devout atheist. Then started noticing some changes over a 2 year period, lot of life’s choices and changes lead me to the mercy and glory of the lord.

Every human who believes in god had to be taught at some point that there's an invisible guy in the sky. When we are born we certainly don't come out of the womb thinking this nonsense.

He doesn’t need lasers or rain dances but I understand why humans can relate to wanting to believe those things. The kingdom is within, after all.

I get that equating a sky daddy makes you feel less connected but it can’t be further from the truth.

No true Athiest finds God. Only an Agnostic can find God.

We really shouldn’t be putting limits on that which we cannot fully understand.

My father passed away and i started shit talking God, saying "this proves you arent real" and worse. Then a series of odd almost supernatural events unfolded. I skurted death twice and truths were shown. I will never doubt God exists, i am still in this world for a reason and it is all thanks to God.

Could you have seen without shrooms?

Broken until nothing was left to break, desperate until being desperate in and of itself was an act of self-deluding desperation that had lost every bit of meaning ... there I stood on the abyss of unknowingly committing myself to the devil by ending my life prematurely.

The emotional pain was so unbearable that it made my cry out to the lord to please take my life and sacrifice me like he sacrificed his only begotten son ... If my life was pure agony, then surely he could use it to remediate the human condition for all the rest of mankind ... If he didn't, then that was up to him, but I didn't need to live any more.

I cried myself to exhaustion and had this extraordinarily strange dream between sleeping and being awake.

When I stood up the next day, it was if I could feel the holy spirit sing all throughout my body ... I felt a strange attraction towards getting more acquainted with Eastern Orthodoxy and have been a convert ever since.

The gods that found me first were the ones that needfully demanded worship.

The ones that I found on my own are the ones those needful gods worship and will admit it if you ask them.
