Historically death was a common sight: Going to the public hangings on Sunday after church was a whole family affair, not to mention how animal butchery was practiced by and seen by a larger percentage of the population.

As morbid as it is to say this: It has significant societal impacts. An acceptance of the commonality of death and a desensitization of the built in abhorrence reflex can change cultural views on a wide variety of topics. The direct subject matter of criminal justice such as supporting the death penalty as more humane than life in prison is obvious. However, in the less obvious category: I expect those who have witnessed enough death were significantly less keen to tyrannical anti-pandemic measures.

Therefore, entertain the idea that such content is not being posted out of petty trollish desires but rather are a small piece of a much larger drive to change the overall values of society back towards more traditional pre-1800s standards.
