Throughout history, the weak were culled from the planet. The mentally ill were removed from society to ensure they didn’t reproduce and spread bad genetics. The lazy and unhealthy were unable to feed themselves and their families. It was survival of the fittest; poor judgement, lack of situational awareness, and bad life decisions had dire consequences.
In modern society with necessities and creature comforts provided en mass, we have a problem with mental health because weak genetics are allowed to exist. The mentally ill are producing mentally unstable children who use their weaknesses as an excuse to justify their existence.
This is another example of the moral breakdown of modern society.

One that values lives or one that values only the economy. The old helped build the economy and should be cherished and cared for in any kind of civilized society. If we can't do that, we are not a society worth saving. Who decides?.
