It just proves how much of what you see and read (even on GLP) isn't actually organic. Which production company or advertsing agency hired you to help prop up the viewing numbers for the movie? The movie was okay. Not nearly as good as I was hoping it would be. Like many thriller type movies these days, it had a huge amount of potential, but almost all of it was wasted by the time the movie ended. It was like one of the later seasons of Black Mirror (the Netflix made episodes), whereas I was hoping it would be like one of the first two seasons, which were made in Britain by Channel 4 and way better. If you like carnage in your horror movies, this isn't the movie for you, and if you like psychological horror in your horror movies (my preference), this movie is watchable or skippable. At best, it's a "watch one time only, and you won't remember it soon after" type of a movie. It's basically a well done made for tv thriller/horror movie. |

First of all, there was a black dude playing Kevin Bacon's daughter's BF. His character was useless and it seems like he was there just to have a black character in the movie. And the reason I say this, is the Cop just happened to be her ex-boyfriend, so at some point the black guy dropped out of the story and then the cop was there. Which means a lot of time was put into the character of the black guy instead of just having the cop being the male lead...added 15 minutes to the movie for no reason. And same with a lot of scenes with the lady therapist and the sister's family. They dragged too many irrelevant people into the plot the movie could have been 20-25 minutes shorter and a better film. |

The part of the movie that started bothering me was when the crazy man was yelling “you’re going to die”, because it’s actual sadistic reality. It is coming for each of us. It was a lot like Black Mirror and that’s because it was a mind roller coaster. If you consider Freud and Jung, the mother/child bond could make your entire life hell because your mind didn’t form straight, in the beginning, due to trauma. Trauma that keeps repeating itself and following you, and you give it to everyone who gets close to you. I feel like there was a deeper metaphor but I can’t figure it out. |

The fiancé was to show that you can be close to someone, without ever getting close to them. He was the only character in her life she didn’t open up to. She bled on everyone else and they all suffered because of her. |

When she “shined a light” on her past, by taking a lantern into her dark old house, and confronted her mom, it seemed to say a resolved childhood would stop “the evil within” her mind. Yet when she turned around and the demon was still there, it seemed to say this was real. A real demon in your real mind. It could be actual hell. Or it could be plans for the Metaverse. |
