“BAFFLED”, the word of 2023
Definition of “baffled”, extremely confused or puzzled from Merriam-Webster.
From the Cambridge dictionary; to cause someone to be completely unable to understand or explain.

Etymology of the word “baffled”; late 16th century, to cheat, deceive.

Now it has become a word which says secretly what is openly forbidden to say.
Tied up into the word are the frustrations, sadness, fear, and disgust felt by the people.

One small word, “baffled”, one powerful weapon!

Re: “BAFFLED”, the word of 2023
Another:; “baffle”, to foil or render ineffectual the efforts of another. The term seems to be applied to any action suffering from impediments. To slabber, stammer, or talk idly, hoodwink or deceive.

We live in a baffling time.
