After the 6 major reservoirs---Oroville, Shasta, etc---are emptied the equivalent of 3 times their capacity into the Pacific to make room for the gigantic Spring runoff.

Not a new State Water Project reservoir built in CA since 1976...blocked by environmentalists to control growth. Didn't work.

If there was adequate surface storage, from this year alone there could easily be enough water to sustain CA through a decade of severe drought.

The Upper and Lower Colorado River Basin is having a big water year. All of that water is still to come into the system that includes Lake Powell and Lake Mead.

To add, the water being discharged into the Pacific has nothing to do with any plot by CA to "steal" Arizona and Nevada's water rights. It is because no new surface water storage has been built in the State since 1976...there is not room for all of the Sierra snowmelt that is coming. they have already been releasing water.

CA has senior water rights according to an agreement made several decades ago. In the 1933 water accords, Nevada only asked for 300,000 acre feet from the River. It was way before the concept of Las Vegas was even a seed in the mob's imagination.
