Is a "personal relationship with Jesus" supposed to impress people?
John 14:13
And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

I have never met a Christian who has the life they want, but I have met Christians who claimed to have a "personal relationship with Jesus." Is a "personal relationship with Jesus" supposed to impress people?

If you have a "personal relationship with Jesus", please prove to me that Jesus is keeping the promise he made in John 14:13. Otherwise, your claim about having a "personal relationship with Jesus" works against you.

It's not impressive. It's proof that you're wrong.

I disagree unless you can prove that Jesus ever existed. chuckle

Usually its the ones who hit rock bottom with drugs and crime and then find Jesus as their spiritual parole officer. I am glad they found some purpose but they remind you every five minutes.

I am very blessed with the life I want. You can't out give God.

Re: Is a "personal relationship with Jesus" supposed to impress people?
I have been, and am now very Blessed for following Jesus... after inviting Him into my life back years ago.

No He is not a magician... He's a physician.

It's all about getting ready for heaven by following God as close as possible... Because when things go wrong, you don't want it to be because of something you did.

Also, becoming like Christ is just putting down all parts that are not loving. Is that so much to ask? For me, no.

Ask Jesus about following Him: "If you - the Christian Jesus.. exists then show me". "I want to become Your child, in case I'm not". "Help me to follow You.".

For more info, see tracts at www chick com.

Good Luck.

So far, it seems to be working, making an impression on you. You brought it up.

I can prove it. Today I through a stick into the air as high as I could and he tossed it back to me, and I caught it.

Can you imagine that I could do that and that He would do that?

Try it.

Then go sit in the chair. You have faith it will hold your weight? That’s faith. Go use it for something good.

“Blessed” = happy, fortunate, and to be envied.

Go do those exercises and see how you feel.

Get back to us when you’ve exercised your faith.

lots of false promises but..

they lead you on and on and on, as far as you want to be led on...

they reward the chicken to bring in the monkeys but.

at the end of the day, what makes you happy? if it makes you happy, it can't be that bad.

God the Father / Jesus never lies. They have always pulled through for me.. as long as I don't go sabotaging myself in the process.

If you don't believe that they won't lie to you, just ask them / God.... the Most High God.
