The black employee said all that to me while the caucasian female was present as I was training her. And, In between the short time of the original incident and me filing HR incident report (20 min), the black employee had the same conversation with another employee accusing me of being racist in my candidate recommendations. trolls vs bots - we live in a scifi world |

Strate8 (OP) User ID: 81830000 ![]() 01/19/2023 09:15 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Thank you for writing this post. This actually feels good to hear. It would be so nice! Quoting: wkk Believe me, it feels good to share it. I've been dealing with this stuff for the last 2 years and it feels like you are walking on eggshells with one arm behind your back just trying to do the right thing for your company and fellow employees. The 2 incidents that followed confirmed to me that something has changed in the attitude of our HR department. The same tools in our company policy have always been in place, but some were selected to be enforced over others. We are moving back to real equal treatment. I think the company has realized it needs to as a matter of survival since we were losing good people and keeping bad ones. trolls vs bots - we live in a scifi world |
Strate8 (OP) User ID: 81830000 ![]() 01/19/2023 09:30 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Did the black employee get fired? You said HR acted quickly, but you did not specify what they did. Quoting: Renaissance Woman Unless that was implied when you said, "Grounds for termination." No, the employee did not get fired. Yet. He was brought before the HR supervisor, his supervisor and area superintendent and told that if he has concerns he should report it to HR but he is not to have a conversation about racial discrimination with other employees again because it is a violation of company policy under the subversive acts section and any further reports of him doing so will lead to termination. I've seen him, how he acts. He can't hold it in. He is distraught that the race card has been removed from his deck. It will come pretty quick. One of the other incidents where race card was pulled and shut down, that guy lost his shit and was terminated on the spot and escorted out with all his belongings. I got stuck in that one even though I had no intention to because the guy started thrusting out his hands like he was pointing in a direction but it was an excuse to thrust his hands right above the Hispanic female's head he had a problem with. I came up and told him to back off and stop violating her personal space. Then he lost his shit. trolls vs bots - we live in a scifi world |

Most supervisors and managers deal with situations very weakly because they feel HR does not have their back. One misstep and their career is over. Supervisors and managers are easily replaced. That is why I have stayed on the technical side, I'm specialized, highly trained and harder to replace. When you are involved in termination of employees, which I am sometimes because of evaluating technical competencies, you find yourself scanning the parking lot when you leave and checking your rearview to see if you are being followed. Supervisors and mgt have a certain amount of fear around the people they have fired. This battle for society exists in all aspects of life, the workplace being a big one. trolls vs bots - we live in a scifi world |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 83939200 ![]() 01/19/2023 10:07 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I work for a very large manufacturing company with locations around the world. Quoting: Strate8 The US plant is huge, and as you'd expect, has HR policies consistent with most US companies. Enough said. I have noticed in the last year a tide change in how our HR is dealing with these same issues. I'm a group technical lead who is also involved in our recruiting/screening process. Being a technical guy, I am looking for background, core competencies, particular skillsets and interests. So, I get approached by a black employee who launches straight into how he noticed a caucasian Female and Hispanic male both got selected for opportunity to advance while he was passed up even though he's been there longer. Then straight into saying he has a lawyer and is taking notes. I did not bother wasting any time and effort in explaining the process or defending my choices or anything. Told him the conversation was entirely inappropriate, that he can file a complaint with HR and that I'm not going to participate in a conversation about racial discrimination in hiring. And just walked off. Walked over and notified my boss and filed an incident report with HR. To my surprise, HR was swift and firm with how they dealt with the situation. I learned a few things from the HR personnel that dealt with the situation, which has turned into a very disruptive epidemic. Anyone playing the discrimination card that goes and has those conversations with other coworkers is in violation of company policy under the "subversive acts" section. Grounds for termination. Our particular company has decided this has become out of control to the point of hurting business operations and is no longer willing to tolerate it. Since my incident, there have been 2 more in quick succession with the same speed and results. The BLM type segment of black employees are going apeshit over it, the rest are happy about it because they didn't like that group making all of them look like shit, but they weren't going to say anything about it themselves. Also I noticed the BLM types freaking hate working for Hispanic bosses. They'd much rather work for an old white guy than a Hispanic male or female. I guess because they can't play the race card with Hispanics as well and Hispanics I see tend to not put up with that shit like whites do. Thought I'd share my view from the trenches in this struggle for society. the moral of the story izzz...uh..ALWAYS BE THE FIRST TO REPORT! |

His attitude and horrible work ethic infected the entire nightshift. Islam is a governmental mandate on all aspects of life, including jihad when called. Hiring them is like installing a sleeper cell. Most people in the US have no clue about that. And CAIR will come into companies and hand out booklets on how to treat muz and their LAW. CAIR has done this to police, FBI, MSM and universities. US is not required to follow those fake race-card rules either. Hopefully more people will catch on quick. |
