Wyoming Legislators Want to Ban EVs by 2035

Nothing like big brother taking away our freedoms.

Americans want to live in a police state because Americans are terrified that their neighbor might start a pig farm next to their house, but who owns your neighbor's home?

Do you really think that freedom doesn't benefit you?

Do you think that you are exempt from tyranny?

Do you realize that freedom is a two-way street?

If you want your neighbor to go to jail for having a flag-pole, don't be surprised when you are arrested for owning a driveway.

Can't you solve problems without a law?

Can't you talk to those who bother you?

Couldn't you just move away?

Do Americans realize that the US used to be a free country?

in modern times, court is the first recourse, not the last as the law states it should be.

If you go outside with friends and see a pig, line up side by side and give a Nazi salute.

You might be arrested or shot, but maybe the Gestapo will get the message and quit if enough people do this.

Is it me, or does this weird flurry of states banning (or trying to ban) the sales of gasoline vehicles vs. states trying to ban sales of EVs seem like the official dividing lines for either a kinetic civil war, or a shattering of the Union?

It just feels like there is more to this than tit-for-tat legislation that’s short-sighted on one side, and petty on the other.

Let's see DeSantis lift the ban on incandescent light bulbs in Florida. Sale of incandescent light bulbs will be completely banned by August 2023 across the nation.

This makes sense. Wyoming is a worst case environment for EVs: a vast, cold, very rural state with many mountains and curvy roads -- EVs handle like boats due to their much greater weight. The costs to upgrade the power grid per person would be huge. EVs suck in the cold and on mountains.

I just *love* how the article paints these responsible members of the Wyoming State Congress as "spiteful".
