Allah is the personal name of God in Aramaic, the language of Jesus
It is a known fact that every language has one or more terms that are used in reference to God and sometimes to lesser deities. This is not the case with Allah. Allah is the personal name of the One true God. Nothing else can be called Allah. The term has no plural or gender. This shows its uniqueness when compared with the word god which can be made plural, gods, or feminine, goddess. It is interesting to notice that Allah is the personal name of God in Aramaic, the language of Jesus and a sister language of Arabic.

The One true God is a reflection of the unique concept that Islam associates with God. To a Muslim, Allah is the Almighty, Creator and Sustainer of the universe, Who is similar to nothing and nothing is comparable to Him. The Prophet Muhammad was asked by his contemporaries about Allah; the answer came directly from God Himself in the form of a short chapter of the Quran, which is considered the essence of the unity or the motto of monotheism. This is chapter 112 which reads:

"In the name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate.
Say (O Muhammad) He is God the One God, the Everlasting Refuge, who has not begotten, nor has been begotten, and equal to Him is not anyone."

Some non-Muslims allege that God in Islam is a stern and cruel God who demands to be obeyed fully. He is not loving and kind. Nothing can be farther from truth than this allegation. It is enough to know that, with the exception of one, each of the 114 chapters of the Quran begins with the verse: "In the name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate." In one of the sayings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) we are told that "God is more loving and kinder than a mother to her dear child."

So if we call bush loving and compassionate long enough then he will be despite his actions?

As long as a religion revers a god that requires people to have faith in a single book without any evidence or else damn them to ETERNAL torture is abysmal. Especially if you consider the fact that these gods "supposedly" are all powerful, how hard can it be for them to just respond to all prayers in a way that everyone can see it?

That lazy attitude has sent billions of people to be convicted of eternal torture.

In Aramaic, the language which Jesus spoke primarily (other than Greek) the word was pronounced as "ALAHA". The Arabic language came out from the Aramaic.

That is how the word was pronounced but the more important question here is whether or not Allah = Alaha.

That depends on the worshiper's understanding of God.

It does not make sense to claim Allah is the personal name of God in Aramaic. Aramaic is not the language of the Qur'an, its Arabic!

There was a board in Petra where the public could post poetry to God, the best was taken and compiled into the Quran 90% of the references to the servant and only four time’s Muhammad name was added later.

The whole thing is garbage.

OP... Father God has no personal name used thruout the creation... call him whatever you wish. It is of NO POINT whatsover to argue a name for God because there NONE and that is the whole truth and nothing but the Truth.

In various languages around the creation.. he is general known in these languages as First Source or Father. what ever Father is in any language. In spanish here I think its PADRE... or maybe Latin. or or or or or.

We have no universal language YET on this planet. I don't know what ALLAH would translate too in fact. I have no idea about Aramaic but it doesn't mean shit. Jesus did speak Aramaic but I have no idea otherwise and all those translations out there.. who in hell even speaks Aramaic any more.. I have no idea.

Also known as Jehovah, Yahweh and now Charlie, for there is many different names for Almighty God in many languages within the whole universes.

Most people do believe in God. Surveys show that in recent years belief in God has actually increased on our planet.

Yes, I’m happy to say that the largest number of you do believe in Me. So it’s not your belief in Me that creates problems, it’s your belief about Me.

One of the things you believe about Me is that I do not want you to know Me. Some of you even believe that you dare not so much as utter My name. Others feel that you should not write the word “God,” but, out of respect, should write “G-D.” Still others of you say that it’s all right to speak My name, but that it must be My correct name, and that if it’s an incorrect name, you will have committed a blasphemy.

But whether you call Me Jehovah, Yahweh, God, Allah, or Charlie, I am still Who I am, What I am, Where I am, and I will not stop loving you because you got my name wrong, for heaven sake.

So you can stop quarreling over what to call Me.
