Vinegar is weakly acidic so mixing the two will neutralize caustic ash and make it safer to apply to any plants. Generally, wood ash contains less than 10 percent potash, 1 percent phosphate and trace amounts of micro-nutrients such as iron, manganese, boron, copper and zinc. Trace amounts of heavy metals such as lead, cadmium, nickel and chromium also may be present. Wood ash does not contain nitrogen. THEmadWizard999 |

She touched his garment and was healed and imho depicts the power we have in using belief and intent. Surely the producers are not saying the garment held power to heal, it must must then reside in the leper woman, who is all of us. Jesus raises her up, thanks her for the mighty gift she has given him, which is mighty indeed. She succeeds where the disciples fail, though unbeknownst to her or anyone else except Jesus. She puts his teachings into practice, Jesus as placebo and her belief and intent to heal was so great, it happens. Such a powerful message, which I hope does not get ignored. |

Quoting: THEmadWizard999 Before farmers had petroleum chemical based fertilizers, they used wood ash mixed with horse/cow/chicken manures for their fertilizer. |
hankie Everything User ID: 85035051 ![]() 01/28/2023 01:01 PM ![]() Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Wood ash is sufficient enough to fertilize. I'm thinking the vinegar used was just a batch of bad wine to be rid of anyway. Quoting: CMcC Nitrogen fertilizer, it in pea plant it breaks down into fertilizer, the field pea, you can grow it almost anywhere and it will grow. Also just brim fish planted or fish that gone bad in bury it in the field to enrich it, put them in with the plant it will break down and feed the plant just one little fish for each plant for rotted fish in the soil. There is chicken dropping, and other animal droppings that work, it needs to be plant eating animal though. Shell fish like shrimp and similar does the same in soil, it gives better soil, test your soil to see what it need and add it. Sorry I got a headache These are the times that tries men's and women's souls! May we come though it victorious! |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 75107600 ![]() 01/28/2023 01:03 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I burn the fallen tree branches in my yard to make wood ash to fertilize my vegetable garden. I did not know about adding vinegar to the ashes. White vinegar is used to kill weeds, so I don't want the vinegar to kill my vegetables. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 84886069 It is to balance ph, just as themadwizard999 has described. Soil ph is very important, different plants prefer different ph, some prefer alkaline, others acidic and others still prefer a balanced soil. Vinegar/lime tend to be the most common ways cannabis growers use to control the soil ph but this can also be controlled by proper fertilizer use. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 75081438 I think just by pouring water through the ashes Which is why vinegar would be used to balance it. Lye is alkaline, vinegar is acidic, together they would create a balanced ph, or at least more so. Make sure you're wearing goggles and protective equipment when you're playing with chemistry experiments. Cheers. |
