So if I want to search for local plumbers, I don't 1 or 2 results. I want multiple results and to see their websites and read reviews. This chatbot ain't gonna offer that.

Same with hunting for health treatments. I don't want 1 or 2 big pharma recommendations. I want some natural thing that works and that's often on some obscure doctor's/herbalist's website back on page 5 of the search engine results.

If you specify you want correctly, the AI will go to page 100 of the search results to find what you are looking for. Problem is what's baned from the search engine catalog.

Now, if they program the AI to block certain things like politics, you would be better off doing it yourself.

I used to enjoy using google when the autocomplete and the search results were based on actual trends and popularity... then they broke it to go woke and made it useless.

ChatGPT is definitely woke, but at least it works.

Google’s YouTube will survive though. Farming all sorts of de-identified data from users in how they consume media and talk to each other in comments sections etc.

Will the ChatGPT search results be like the good old days with pages and pages of great website results or just the same sanitized censored results as we get today?

Dammit in the last 3-4 years coming to this forum I have had to scratch off my list strawberries, farm raised salmon, and now lays potato chips.

Search results have never been based on popularity. There's a multi billion dollar industry out there gaming the results.
