Ballet fighting is what I call it Lol. Quoting: Rev El Haitian Well I'd say that traditional Yoga would be better to take up than Tai Chi or Aikido, for physical and mental development; however the original Shaolin system, Judo, and traditional Karate (particularly from Okinawa), etc. are serious and effective martial arts. There's debate about "the original Shaolin", but I don't know enough about that debate to really speak much on it. |

Interesting. I mean the gist of the debate is that at some point Shaolin became somewhat watered down, and that what is practiced nowadays is not quite the original Shaolin that Bodhidharma founded (if I'm not mistaken, Bodhidharma-known as a black man from India by some—founded Shaolin). Like I said, I don't know enough about that debate to affirm anything too concretely. Last Edited by Asuralikeproduction on 02/01/2023 08:52 AM |

Yoga works more directly with the nadis/channels in the body, etc.; and interestingly, the oldest texts on Hatha Yoga and similar are Buddhist, not 'Hindu'. |

The USA and holly weird tries to change that idea. Schools want to make money do they promote the idea. But Tai Chi is for old people. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 85177021 The guy in white didn't even try and divert any of the guy's punches. Plus Tai Chi is just part of the real fight, which encompasses all kinds of techniques. Here's a Tai Chi guy taking out a kick boxer: I've studied Tai Chi, and in a street fight I had an assailant on the ground by reactive nature. Without even thinking I had my thumb pressed into his windpipe, and when I looked him in the eyes and said, "Leave me alone," I had to let up on his windpipe for him to answer me, and he choked out a wimpy, "Okay." |

But not necessarily 'Merotic' or 'Meroitic' thicker lips & kinky hair; but probably more like 'Nilotic' thinner lips and straighter hair (like some Æthiopians), or like a more Tamil Indian kind of black. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 85181418 Lets see a video of MMA meets Korean karate, the military form of it with no holds barred. Also those hard-training old school Okinawan Karate guys, who train their body with all kinds of hard implements (iron, wood, rock, etc.). Then there's that Shaolin guy who recently took up MMA, and is faring well in fights. Last Edited by Asuralikeproduction on 02/01/2023 09:19 AM |
