House passes GOP bill to end COVID-19 vaccine mandate for healthcare workers

I hope this is true, for a year and a half since I graduated nursing school, I have been restricted to working in assisted living facilities and unable to get a higher level nursing degree in any school, meanwhile I get my PTO rejected because of a "nursing shortage" BS they are piling more work on nurses and not even attempting to hire new ones. Currently I take care of over 50 residents. Granted they are not acute care, but they have dementia so its like taking care of over 50 full grown, angry combative toddlers. I have to pick multiple people up off the floor a day because they forget that they need to use their wheelchair or walker. I've only been a nurse for a little over a year (with no PTO) and I'm getting burnt out. I would absolutely love to work in acute care or skilled nursing and "only" have to deal with 10 patients, but I can't because of that stupid Biden mandate.

Our local hospital here in MN is requiring the jabs for all new hires. They also have recently installed a George Floyd memorial on it's walls. It's like walking into an alternative universe of false realities each day. I have thus far been able to hide in plain site, seeing patients affected by these shots as well as head cases who repeatedly return fearing that they have Covid, pleading for more appointments and injections to "protect" them and blaming others for their jab-induced ailments. I've seen it all, tried to warn in the beginning, and now I've learned that most people simply cannot help or think for themselves. It's also why so many are on multiple medications and then come in questioning why their health is so poor. This includes most of the staff I work with whom have been out repeatedly sick, stroking, diagnosed with cancers, migraines, uncontrolled BP changes, herpes, going to funerals of family members, etc. They simply just blindly march in formation on a course of self-destruction. We already have patients calling in demanding that everyone wear a mask and be "vaccinated" regardless of mandate changes. From my observations and encounters, I honestly think these people are mind-controlled from these injections, and it may be too many too late for any mandate changes to make a difference.

As someone working in a skilled nursing facility i can say that the shortages have hit here as well and the 10 patients per medical worker never happens its usually 30ish but these requirements to further education is a huge problem because thats whats contributing to unprecedented staff shortages.

I had a DON at my facility that would have took 10 jabs if she could have and pushed hard for all the residents to be vaxxed to the point over 90% of the longterm residents took it. Fast forward a year later most of those residents are dead or in rapid decline and she herself dropped dead suddenly that was all the first hand proof i needed to know i made the right decision to not get any of them no matter how they tried to harass, coerce, and incentivise.

Please...anyone taking these bullshit artists seriously anymore? We all knew covid was fake from day one and the clotshot is killing all the idiots who took it. Fuck the GOP and dems..

I am/was a lower level healthcare worker. I want to go back, but if the application even asks if I've been vaccinated I know I will not be considered, even if the ad doesn't say they require the vaccine. H.R. loons salivate at the opportunity to decline every un-vaccinated applicant, I'll bet.

Those that left are probably working in other industries by now, I'm sure they will never forget the chaos in their lives

Miss nursing but even if they said no need dor jab...still wouldnt go back.

I would be shed on by other staff and patients. These next few years is survival, and I plan on working from rural home until they bring digi out.
