Military on street corners in Louisville KY last night

Reported to me that a lot of military, some in BDU's were on street corners in the downtown area last night. Also, some carried M - 16 rifles. They were not searching, or arresting anyone, just "jumping around" and being seen.
Anyone know what is going on in Louisville?
