January 31st sighting of white object

So I'm active duty military. I hesitate to say what branch or where this happened but I reported it to NUFORC last night and would report it to the DoD but they have zero indication of *where* these reports are supposed to be reported to, DNI, etc, but fucking where bro?

Anyways I live in a central western state with mountains. We were breaking down tents amd I looked up, I'm guessing at around 2:30PM, and watched a white object either round or tictac shaped fly directly over the moon going north from roughly the south. It was moving at a pretty fast clip and all likelihood appeared to be airline altitude but I couldn't get an idea of its size. I watched it for about 30 seconds or so before I completely lost sight of it. I didn't say anything to anyone around me nor did I pull out my phone. For some reason I was more concerned with looking like a loon than documenting it or getting any other witnesses. My phone camera has 10x optical zoom so I know it would have been better than some of these fucking potatoes out there. I'm still kicking myself I did neither of these things now.

This was obviously right about the time they came out and mentioned the Chinese spy balloon north of here but the track they gave and given this objects direction wouldn't have coincided.
