Royal Canadian Mint Temporarily Lays Off 56 Workers at Its Winnipeg Facility
Anyone got any news from the US Mint?

I wonder what could be happening to precious metals...1dunno1

WINNIPEG — The Royal Canadian Mint says it’s temporarily laying off 56 employees at its Winnipeg facility.

In a statement, the Mint says “prolonged effects of the pandemic and ongoing geopolitical instability” are disrupting global markets, which it says is limiting demand for coins it makes for other countries.

It says it believes the disruption is temporary and that the foreign circulation business will return as global markets reopen.

The employment sector in the United States have seen two contradictory figures in the December 2022 to January 2023 period, wherein the US economy reported an 11 million rise in job opening in December, while on the other hand, layoff in the US also hit a more than two-year high in January 2023.

Big techs in their effort to build a strategic resistance to an assumed impending recession has indulged in rampant and extremely fast-paced layoffs impacting a whopping 102,943 workers in the US job sector, according to a report published by Layoffs.fyi.

The report has further informed that the numbers of layoff have marked as a more than two fold jump from December 2022 and a an almost five year rise than the numbers recorded in 2021. The report was filed by employment firm Challenger, Gray & Christmas Inc.

i am from winnipeg, apparently what happened was that these 56 employees were all working together running a coin smuggling ring. the mint was missing tens of thousands of dollars worth of coins monthly but couldnt figure out what was going on..that is until the other day when one of the employees was leaving for lunch had farted by accident and a bunch of loonies fell out of his pant leg and rolled all over the floor. Once they confiscated the loonies and toonies which he was hiding in his upper and lower colons, which was a total of $2300, they decided to search the rest of the people working the shift using xrays and it turns out every person was doing the same, no one had less then $1500 shoved up their anus.

The manager of the mint came out later that day and told reporters that "something just didnt smell right from the very start"

I think the reason in BS. Could it be that the silver supply is getting tight and they can't buy the silver at a reasonable price.

Our Mint is doing the same BS. They are, by law required to make silver eagles in an amount that keeps pace with demand. Try to order some and see what happens. Pricing is no where close to the "paper" spot price.

Just doesn't add up.

this is plausible and came across my mind when I read it...

The precious metal supply has been draining from the comex for a long time now...

The Canadian media kept quiet about this, of course.
