From what little I understand of it, it "feels" like peak novelty, the quickening, the moment where robust but complex systems turn fragile and implode due to the sclerotic redundancy and grift of their own increasing complexity. The paradigm no longer coheres and collapses so that a new narrative can emerge to take the place of the old paradigm. But maybe it's just me. Anyone else feel like it's history's rush hour?

It goes back a long way but Biden's shamefully executed withdrawal from Afghanistan was the catalyst for where we find ourselves.
ALL those who have sought or been provided unasked American with a capital "A" protection will sadly learn that the U.S.'s word is longer its bond. It is instead a junk bond.
All the "predators" saw Biden's performance as the signal to take (or retake) their erstwhile emancipated territories. Hence, Russia takes Ukraine, China will take Taiwan (in fact Russia is providing extensive back channel cheerleading for just such a move now rather than later as the U.S. has proxy obligations to both locations and has now burned through its "excess" inventory needing to keep what's left of its powder dry for a non-proxy engagement.)
NK maybe doesn't have the logistics to take SK but at a minimum moves the DMZ the 50km south to take Seoul.
And finally, the perpetual wildcard and ME punching Iran makes its decapitation move out of sheer contempt and as payback for a history of aerial infrastructure attacks.
