bump for black specs picture from Maine

How do I put a picture? I have few magnifications.
 Quoting: IAMABADMUTHAFUKKR

It looks like glasslike or plastic substance. Primarily black but, in thin area where light can pass through it's dark red. I'm just looking at different pieces now. They seem to all be same substance just in various shapes and sizes.
 Quoting: IAMABADMUTHAFUKKR

I'm surprised this far away the size isn't more uniform. I'd expect some separation by mass this far out. It's all shapes and sizes.
To be fair I've never done this before. I have no control. However the snow looks like it's covered with pepper. It's very noticeable. The first 2 samples of water have a distinct chemical odor. A sulfur chlorine smell.

You got maybe 2 weeks left to live.

The residue on the cars in those tweets is what it looked like on my car but not as much. The black tonneau cover on my work truck has this sleaze all over it, too, but it could just be road de-icer collected and concentrated in the water droplets

Yeah, I wonder that too. Currently overcast and very light rain where I’m at in Brattleboro VT, and it just got dark and grey within the last 10 minutes.

If I could just blurp them on here right from my phone I’d be okay with that.

Prayers not only for the livestock in the Northeast but most especially for all the human beings there!

Okay, I live in Southwest New Hampshire and it’s going to rain later tonight and tomorrow (2-16 & 2-17 2023)
I have free range chickens and ducks. I am taking zero measures at this point regarding the death cloud. I will post periodically throughout the day to tell everyone how things are going and whether or not they get sick or flop over dead.

I like Westminster. I really like living in the Connecticut River Valley. I hope this place doesn’t get ruined by this obvious attack on our environment. I’m just waiting to hear about a derailment with toxic cargo over in Bellows Falls or something. That would make me beyond livid.

Wow Many more granite staters on glp than I thought that there would be.
Mid west NH (Lebanon) and we just had thunder and a pretty short but hard thunder shower. It is over now but it has been wet and drippy since roughly 8 pm last night.
Have NOT noticed any smell when I was caught outside during the downpour (dropped off daughter in wheelchair at school - late as per usual) BUT I have also been mildly congested past few days.

Good thread OP.

I wonder if we all know each other lol. I'm in Hollis which has a lot of farms but I'll be afraid to eat local this year.
 Quoting: 88

When I was a kid, dad would take us WITHOUT FAIL every weekend to the Hollis Flea Market. About ten years ago I used to have band practice in the blue house at the end of the larger parking area.
I also have snuck in to Rocky Pond for an unauthorized swim lol
And was greatly disappointed to see Woodmont Orchard get turned into a cookie cutter condo neighborhood.
 Quoting: Halgo 9000

I love the Hollis flea market!! I haven't been in the lake(s) yet, even though we've been here for 11 years lol. I was sad to see Woodmont turn into a cookie cutter neighborhood too. More and more land is being turned into neighborhoods now. I worked for one of the bigger farms in town and they were able to purchase the land where they grow their peaches and apples. They lease a lot of land around town and lost their long-standing 30-year lease bid to Brookdale. A lot of the older people who own acreage are having to sell off pieces to be able to afford their retirements. The taxes here are crazy. The owners of Lavoie farm are ready to retire but I hear their kids don't want to continue farming.

SwNH as well. I’ll be at the farm this weekend to pick a pig. 60 pigs and a few hundred chickens - I’ll update if anything is out of the norm.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78116005

Mid southern NH here (next to Nashua). We have chickens and also an herb/flower farm and I'm wondering if they'll be affected. Will keep an eye out.
 Quoting: 88

Your avatar is beautiful. Is that your farm?
 Quoting: Happy in Nature

That's actually an avatar from GLP but it looks similar to our farm (we grow lavender). It's a hobby business farm and we allow people to come visit us during the season which is late-June through most of July. I'm wondering if the air from Ohio will affect it this year.

I’m sure the entire town will go from beautiful farms to rich people’s gated communities soon. I’m surprised the flea market hasn’t been turned into that yet being so close to Amherst st.

Hopefully no "accidents" will happen there. I love Vermont and often go up route 5 and hit some shops on the way to the VCS. We also get our Christmas trees in Springfield. Seems like lots of corn is grown along the river.. apples and maple syrup. Marha Stewart voted Harlows(?) the best maple syrup in the country I guess.
