Everything is opposite what it should be. Conspiracy theorist are now right, aliens are real, balloons are to be feared now, boys are girls, girls are boys, cats are dogs and I hear squirrels are now turning into spiny hedgehogs.
I'm convinced we've flipped and are now in permanent spongebob opposite day or at the very least Community's The Darkest Timeline.. I'm serious.

fear isn't necessarily a bad thing. it's how one reacts to fear, and what one does with it. i don't trade my fears cheaply.

When you purposely collapse a society, shit gets weird.

Yeah I can go along with that. I try to be the same way. But, sometimes we probably fear things that spawn from things that aren't even true in the first place.

Take a small cohesive society that lives well together and is for the most part healthy, and then for example, convince them they will run out of water in X years (or whatever lie you want)

Fear can cause them to begin to behave irrationally and then their society may start to spiral and be unrecognizable from what it was before.

It's certainly true you can control people with fear. Control enough of them you can even make things a reality. Taking a greater command over your own focus and attention is important. What is your intent behind whatever you focus on. Remain close to your intent to avoid the attention theft. Easier said than done.
