No, not right now at least. I think they'll primarily try to decimate the population through other means. There's still way too many people alive to just go door to door with guns.

What'll probably happen is the steady destruction of society and eventually, through some methods, a sharp drop off in the population that even the most deluded can't ignore. The second upcoming pandemic might be a big part of it, but we'll wait and see. When things start to crumble they'll begin opening the FEMA camps to take in displaced people. Those people will be summarily executed, probably by injection or food poisoning. More depopulation.

They need to keep up appearances. The people cannot catch on to their evil until it's too late. They need the survivors to accept their new slave-it-all system and believe in it.

During the chaotic time though, I think they'll probably start labeling troublemakers and those who disagree with them, like us, as terrorists or some stupid moniker. Turn the other people against us and then quietly in the background they'll now have a public excuse to hunt down dissidents. All for the "safety of the people" and "return to peace and normalcy!"

Hitler tried the blunt direct war route and it failed. Divide and conquer is the name of their game now. Kill off the majority by starvation, disease, natural disasters, concentration camps. Cull the mindless herd who are only there to be in the way. Of those who remain take in those who in desperation will cling to them, hunt down the rest who try to resist. Now that the numbers are more manageable.

Of course that depends on everything going according to plan. We have not lost yet and they have not won, anything can still happen.
