OR You can pick up used recliners all day long for FREE on Craigslist.

For $50 you should have been able to buy a fold out chair with some quality build. If you have the receipt, they will take it back and give you another one.

I painted them in a teal color then made new seat covers. That thing could easily hold 250 lbs, solid metal old school folding chairs, one had a pad on the seat.
