Gen. William J. Walker made the request and it was delayed for 3.5 hours. Even though the Secretary of the Army was the only one who could make the call, Flynns brother Lt. Gen. Charles Flynn and Gen. Walter Piatt didn't want it. They subsequently lied to Congress saying they pleaded for national guard to be deployed. [link to www.nbcnews.com (secure)] "Walker said he was told then-Secretary of the Army Ryan McCarthy was meeting with then-acting Secretary of Defense Christopher Miller and they could not be on the call, but the senior military leaders who were on the call said it was their best advice not to have uniformed Guardsmen on the Capitol grounds. Walker identified those senior leaders as Gen. Walter Piatt and Lt. Gen. Charles Flynn — the brother of Trump’s first national security adviser" |

He said, “You are probably going to need 10 or 20 thousand.” That was authorized and sent to the military chain of command who would have had that standing order to follow. Trump’s staff took the offer to Mayor Bowser and she flatly declined the offer, in writing. She and Nancy thought it would be “bad optics” If both Bowser and Pelosi had authorized it, it would have happened automatically. Everything else is second hand hearsay and distractions. |

That's not the case at all A mayor or house speaker doest control the national guard. A federl oder was signed on the 5th that no movement was allowed of any troops unless it was signed off by the secretary of the army. They couldn't even move "3 guard across the street to anothe post" [link to www.nbcnews.com (secure)] Maj. Gen. William J. I think a GLPer corroborated the story about the busses but there's no way of telling unless someone got some badge numbers or at the very least some actual footage. It was most likely executive protection security officers (which is still very strange) but other than that it's solely based on some bikers flip phone camera footage. The fact remains; 3.5 hours the guard was held back while the madness ensued after provoked |
