So I have noticed something that ONLY occurs while I am at work. I wear a headset all day and this will happen daily since maybe two months ago. I will hear a low tone like ringing in my ears. I just assumed it was my ears. I pulled the headset off and realized it was not my ears but coming through the headset. What is this about? Is this some kind of mind altering tone to make us more productive? Some kind of experiment? It’s like one of those frequency video type rings…or humming sounds. Like a very low frequency dog whistle. Should I ask others at work if they hear this too?

I have been with this company for a year and this just started happening recently. Nothing has changed in my equipment. Same equipment I started with. And since this started I can’t sleep and constantly have dreams I am at work on the computer and it’s very vivid and it seems real as I see the work on the monitors as I am doing my job. I don’t like insomnia!

I would accept this if it wasn’t for the insomnia and constantly dreaming I am working. I fall asleep and wake up multiple times at night and the only thing I am dreaming about is work. And I normally don’t remember my dreams.

It happens all the time to my recording equipment. Even a cell phone data signal can do it if sitting in the vicinity of my mics. I dont know about if your work is doing something. I know about how to tell if its effecting your health like EMF wise and how you can mitigate those effects if it is. Might sleep better at night. One of my synthesizers buzzes more when it is off than when on, mostly notice noise and hum like that with headphones on. Let someone know there's hum interfering with your work, check the cabling with you to see when it goes away. Worth a shot. Its a legit complaint.
