Re: German made vehicles are often very good quality.
German cars are great as long as you have a couple years of full repair coverage included with your purchase or you only own it for a couple years. German cars across the board are consistently some of the least reliable vehicles to own over the long term and the repair costs and parts are often ridiculous compared to many other vehicles. They are also needlessly hard to work on in many ways and their vehicles often contain multiple brittle plastic parts and panels that are alost impossible to remove and replace without damaging them. My neighbor had a BMW SUV, and a few of the individul LED lights stopped working in one of the taillights. The dealer replaced the taillight and it was $800 for the taillight itself and another $300 for labor to replace it. My neighbor was so angry about how unreliable his vehicle had been once the original warranty ran out after I think 3 years, he sold the vehicle off and happily switched to a Japanese SUV. There are a couple BMW vehicles that are worth having, but they are almost always simple vehicles with very few extra bells and whistles that German manufacturers like to stuff their cars with that end up becoming nothign but failure points and repair costs after several years of ownership.

that's a new phenomena related to not having ethnic germans doing all of the work from engineering and design to each and every final build.

Re: German made vehicles are often very good quality.
I still drive a audi A4 1.6 sedan build year 2002. Still runs fine. Yearly APK check and maintenance. Bought it in 2013 for 3K or so.

I would love to drive a newer vehicle but will stick with this one until this electric bullshit in 2030 is more clear.if we are still around then.

No way that I will pay for a brand new car. Don't have a money tree on my back. And I despise lease contracts.
