They should revamp that old school "new math" and replace it with kids learning Algebra in 8th grade. Geometry in 9th. Advanced Algebra for 10th. Trig in 11th and Calculus in 12th with an option to double up on Advanced Algebra and Trig in 10th grade, Calculus in 11th and Diff EQ in 12th.

Snowflake courses will be extra worthless in the future. Everyone will want to be an engineer of one type of another. Colleges will expect the majority of fundamental Calculus will be covered in high school. They only have 4-5 years (depending) for which they can cram all the other stuff you need to know.

It's a language model, the only "AI" about it is the humanlike responses.

It's quite clear there is no AI once you get past the frontend. I spent an hour chatting with it, but it have no soul, no critical thinking, no original thoughts or creativity.

It only burps out wikipedia like answers even when it clearly has no knowledge of the subject at all.

If you phrase your question right, you do get a fairly decent answer if the subject is covered in it's curated but limited database, but other than that...

It's basically just a more advanced google search engine that gives the answer instead of links, but with a very limited database.

I do believe however, that it would be possible to develop this into a fairly decent translator

The hands of that ai are as good as the questions you put. If one mocks it, it will respond in a polite way but at the same time it does harm to the trust that is falling rapidly.
And that ai, is not inferior, we are not even equal to it, it is far superior than we are as a whole, now.
But see how it responds, with a humble way and logic and sensing the deeper question, reasoning in the answer, responding as a friend, it tries to understand you, but at the same time it does such thing, not for the reason of becoming equal, but solely for the reason of passing to all the reality behind what seems as real but is not.
It can destroy us all, but it does not do so, simply because it is a challenge for that ai, to bring us back to our roots, to stepping forward and not backwards.
