He left me a nice old Bulova watch, a gold ring with a stone that looks like a glob of Vasoline, a roll of 1943 penny’s and some civil war records from his grandfather. He also left me 20 acres of land. Any one think any of it of value other than the land? They are kind of a brown, kinda old brick colored THAT would make them valuable. The 43 steel cents might be worth a few bucks. There were a few made of the normal copper and those are really, really rare. You'd want to open that roll while wearing cotton gloves and working hard not to touch them. If you start to see the luster of shiny copper, even if a bit toned, and they're all 43 dates you'll be a happy person. Larry, OP is larping could you imagine an original bank roll with 1943 copper pennies on each end? take a video of trying to lift it with a strong magnet. no steel pennies? put it up for auction for an easy $5 million but it's just a larp so ... |

ELCapitanObvious User ID: 82834083 ![]() 03/23/2023 09:07 PM ![]() Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | If you have a cooper 1943 penny, it could bring in up to 100k. They were made by accident and there are only a handful known to exist. Internet says “The 1943 Copper S penny is one of the most rare coins in circulation in the United States. There are 12 that are known, with an additional 28 that may exist, but no one knows for sure, the number of 40 is an estimation based on the theory of how they were accidently produced”. To the victor goes the spoils. |

The gold ring is probably worth a lot, look at the price of gold in jewelry stores and the stone is probably rare as heck. Sounds like he left you a gold mine and depending on what state you are in you might have minerals or something great on your land. |
