Located in the southeastern US encompasses the states of Mississippi, Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, and parts of Tennessee and Georgia. The southeast hasn’t been associated with the same accolades and perception due to the trees and hills and viewing difficulty that comes with the region. There was a record number of tornadoes in Oklahoma just a few years ago, and set an all time record. The problem in that area is that tornadoes often occur after dark, when they can be almost impossible to see. Add that to terrain difficulties you mentioned, and February and March can pretty damn scary down there.. |
