Waiting a month for a funeral in the UK

My dad died on March 19. The earliest funeral available is April 19.

Usually funerals take 1 - 2 weeks, or they did before the shots rolled out.

Just an anecdotal data point.

Oh and no one was interested in a post mortem even though he collapsed at home and needed CPR.

The factors resulting in death recorded on the medical certificate were all artifacts of the CPR. They had no interest in discovering the actual cause.
