Looking at the map, this feels like weather warfare.

We're getting straight-line winds today with gusts to 55mph I had to come inside about 30 min ago, it's hard just to stand up.


For those in the hot zone pay attention and be safe.

We lost our home in the April 29th Andover Kansas tornado. Made it out alive but we only had seconds to get to the basement. No sirens…..

these "radar indicated" tornadoes push their social media views and ad revenue through the roof.

thats why there are SO many new "weather reporters" on youtube now just showing maps pretending they know what they are talking about.

its a week of build up of fear then they have to produce on that with fake ass "tornado warnings" in every storm simply because there is rotation, which they almost ALL have.

and i am in arkansas. eastern arkansas where the threat is the highest today.

not my first. won't be the last. or maybe it will. oh well.

The local guy here calls that the screaming eagle radar signature. Never good, hunker down Razorbacks.

same path they always seem to take up the interstate from hot springs to little rock

its the path of the most people in the state, therefore the most fear to conjure up. i literally predicted this would be one of the first warning areas today earlier here at work



we will get a warning here later too

already had 2 tornado warning/sirens go off in the last 2-3 weeks here.

Lol, not a weather fan, eh? I have studied meteorology since I was a kid and the shear profiles, cap erosion and surface based convection that is occurring is highly dangerous. The jet is overhead and those winds (in this case in excess of 150mph) can an often do reach the ground, particularly in a super cellular environment. These rotating storms are harbingers of tornadic activity and can spawn one with zero warning, I have seen this up close. Everyone needs to be vigilant and don't take it lightly, but I agree with you OP, the fear factor for relevancy lost its luster long ago with weather. Queue Mike Bettis...
