No, but I write bots with the aid of gpt to help me identify trade conditions and investments.

What is the expectation?, that one needs government to save them? That resources and industrial capacity shouldn't be nationalized?

If there are no consumers, for whom or what purpose are the machines w8rking? It would be purposeless.

I see your point... Imho we are not ready...

Thanks for replying and contributing.

Are you able to discuss more of your research or work?

not the poster but I’d like to present a counter argument

people being freed up will just create more instability. people already can barely contain themselves with the illusion of ‘purpose’ in their life. you remove what little purpose they have, and what are they left with?

Idle hands are the devils play things imo. think we’re experiencing a wave of degeneracy and immorality now… there will be nothing left to pursue but hedonism for many in the future. the sad thing is, it will be hard to blame them

I've been discussing just that for quite some time. It is like we rail against our own slavery to deepen our delusions of the yearning for freedom.

Our current system doesn't create the desire for questioning and usually punishes it. After a generation of slavery, people begin to rationalize its existence and institutionalize it.

The abolitionist becomes the devil.

I wish this was the stuff we debated more on glp, I feel this is the most relevant and potent variable in the world that’s coming

a deafening question presents itself, does this occur naturally with free will, or were we painted into this corner? without tptb, would we be off worse? many sleepless nights over this.. many more to come

What would or are we to be ready for?

We as individuals are far more capable than we would give ourselves credit for.

Thanks for the link.

Imho our society isn't ready for a shift like this.

In the above article it says right away AI is expected to eliminate 4.8 million jobs... Of professionals ... That went to school etc... This isn't including the huge Robotics work force already eliminating labor jobs, expected in the next couple of decades to increase dramatically.

I'm all for progression... But this isn't just innovation.. it based on greed.

Companies saving money... While the masses pay for it.

50 years from now, when everything is automated i'd much rather say we got there without having to pay a heavy price.
 Quoting: m0r3

Why is it your assumption that a.i cannot help you become skilled or create your own means of production?.

What is it that you think will happen with the rate of technological advancement and or technological output?

The technical wizards on this plane are the nerds, not the cool kids.

Think of the leg up and access the cool kids are giving the nerds.

Yes let's do that now. We know it's coming. The call to put GPT on hold for six months has validation.

Please don't confuse my concerns as anti-AI or anti-robotics/automation.

It's inevitable and happening as we type. Your field is the way of the future.
Writing code, robotics, electronic engineering, maintenance, manufacturing.

I appreciate your optimism but I really don't think the populous will be ok with losing their means to provide and then have a computer program tell them what to do and learn.

Re: SKYNET ATTACKS!!! ChatGPT AI Lists Jobs It Can Do Better Than Humans As Millions Could Be Put Out Of Work...
As a retired IT Guy who quit a 20 year career in Networking, Devops, and Management back in 2014.... I am pleased with this advancement and ChatGPT is nothing short of amazing to me, and it makes the last 10 years of me taking vacation and ignoring IT world, All that much more valuable to me, because it was the right thing to do.

And now I have this plethora of a super oracle to contend with, and enhance what I am already good at knowing how to do hands-on and in terms of IT architecture, etc.

I am a Universe of information now, quite literally.
Lord Jesus Christ.
Thats my name in Gematria, Well, 1200 and 200. The He brew translation differs.
It is quite something, I am so grateful and happy for this and the realization. I was so depressed that I had quit my job that I loved so much to sit around and stagnate, but now all tha time taken to reflect on everything and myself, has payed off dearly.

I think I might have even been the shadow force which invented it, Through the Anomaly network.

What if they had AI robots building AI robots, and they already have a billion waiting to be activated? All they would need is maybe 1 million AI's to run them all, since 1 AI can handle running maybe 1000's of robots simultaneously. Also, BRICS is replacing the dollar, and various animals are being injected. Plus the Deagel countdown.

If this thing is actually poised to start taking away jobs, people will sabotage it, threaten to take away someone's livelihood and humans get very creative. No species is more intelligent when it comes to destruction. I'm not worried about AI

Re: SKYNET ATTACKS!!! ChatGPT AI Lists Jobs It Can Do Better Than Humans As Millions Could Be Put Out Of Work...
I haven't given AI much thought but it's becoming clear to me that this may be another golden opportunity for some.

I think if automation in relation to manufacturing and the polar shift and job loss it caused. The same could be said for the event of the computer. The internet certainly destroyed millions of jobs as well. So you can look at it two ways. The end of you or a golden opportunity to capitalize on the ground floor.

I won't make the same mistake thrice.

On his YouTube talk today Scott Adams says everyone should take a few days off from everything and do a deep dive into Ai. Now. And why.
