Only huge changes in Russia (Putin would be replaced, the new leadership would end the war in Ukraine and return Crime to Ukraine, judge their war criminals etc.) could put Finns thinking this decision again. Not anything else.

Lastly, if NATO can not protect members from Russians, then nobody can. Shortly saying Finns have nothing to lose with this membership.

If I would be as leader of True Finns I would very carefully think will/should I join the new government.

There will be lots of difficult/painful decisions in a front (= to be done) in next 4 years (= basically cutting the costs of public sector). Over all, voters will not like those kind of acts (someone goes to their pockets) and leftists parties will accuse/bark new government as much as they can.

If True Finns can not get their main topic/principle (= less immigrants to Finland) into the government program (so that average people will really see it in real), then they might go down a lot in next election.

Someway this forum tend to say (time after time) that Russians have rights to fight, but West not. Right now Russians fight in the area of Ukraine.

Travelling time is bit more than 12h ... including one night on ferry. Ferry leaves in the evening (5pm/6pm) and will arrive in Helsinki harbor next morning (8am). Finland's time is 1 hour ahead of Sweden.


If you travel via ferry route Åbo/Turku - Stockholm you will save 3h. And if you travel from Vasa to Umeå ... that will take just 4 - 5 hours (but you will end much further north than Stockholm in Sweden).
