It does not say Medicare (gov't insurance for old people). It says Medicaid (gov't insurance for poor people).

Even more confused because we have Anthem BCBS where I work and it has nothing to do with Medicaid....

So does this only apply to Medicaid plans, or does it apply to any Anthem BCBS plan?

They have the same deals for most drugs. Doctors get a kickback if they meet certain goals. Schools get kickbacks from drug companies if they get 10% of the kids on Ritalin. Started around the 90s. There used to be a middleman and this stuff didn't happen, then Big Pharma started marketing direct to Doctors.

Disgusting.

And should be illegal.

I'm in Michigan and the health care conglomerates do the same in pushing this shit. There's a thing called "MyChart" where you can view your medical records and confirm appointments. The local conglomerate was spamming me about COVID19 vaccines so I called their IT people, had them remove me and never use it to confirm an appointment. If I need records, I can get hard copies at the office.

Unless you need the services of a specialist (I just had a perforated eardrum repaired) or you must visit the internist/primary care pimp for a prescription refill, avoid them like the plague. All of that "preventative" and "wellcare" shit is a scam. Things like colonoscopies and mammograms, always pushed by the primary care pimp, statistically MAKE NO DIFFERENCE in outcomes. They are, however, multi billion dollar profit generators.

If Anthem did this then Humana, United Healthcare & Aetna did the same! The only 4 insurance companies in KY besides Medicare & Medicaid.

A way of laundering money from our Federal Government for your private health information.

I assure you, if the insurance companies were paying Providers extra for each vaccination, then the Insurance companies were certainly reimbursed by our government for this incentive to Primary Care deliverers!

This is just another way for private medical information to be given to our government, illegally. Money is passing thru hands to the insurance companies from our government & them a small pittance is passed on the the Doctor, or other Medical Provider, like a Nurse Practitioner or Pharmacist who gave the actual vax!

Just for reference;
If a single provider had 3,000 Anthem patients in their practice & 1,500 of them received the vaccine, that's 50% of that provider's Anthem patients.

Multiply that 1,500 patients by 175.00 dollars & that equals 262,500 dollars! That's more than most single providers make in an entire year.

Now, I understand why most providers were pushing the vax!

OMG this is the proof of a conspiracy between our government, the insurance companies & the medical community at large!
