The United States bars most sales of weapons-related technology to China, but some military contractors also have civilian businesses in aerospace and other markets. Last September, Raytheon Missiles and Defense was awarded a $412 million contract to upgrade Taiwanese military radar as part of a $1.1 billion package of U.S. arms sales to the island. Taiwan buys the majority of its weapons from the U.S., which is its biggest unofficial ally. In recent years, China has frequently sent fighter jets and warships toward the island, surrounding it at different times in a campaign of military pressure and intimidation. You can count on America to do the right thing after exhausting every other alternative." Winston Churchill |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 79736072 We allow them to steal our tech. Actually not. It's hard as hell to get security clearance in those companies, and once you do get security clearance you have great job security. Also both those companies banned chips from China, once they discovered China was installing backdoors in their chips. That was about 10 years ago. Consumer chips are the biggest problem, and the Chinese are spying on most American consumers today. Because they decided not to shoot her down. It is their air space. It was not what they could do, it was what they decided to do. Not sure if Xi had been reelected during her visit. Now he has been.
