My uncle went to two local coin shops to sell one ounce silver eagles (regular bullion coins)
One shop offered him $24.50, and the other $23.00. He asked why so low and they said all anyone is doing lately is selling and there's no buying so they are stuffed with inventory.

Shops like that aren't in the business of paying full value.

Went to a local coin shop several weeks ago.
Tried to buy Eagles.
Their network of 6 stores only had a total of 63 available.

They have enough credit to bump silver up and squeeze then crash it again to single digits. I will buy below 15.

But as a skilled man I can coin silver through work, as time marches on, so I will probably re up my silver holdings as much as my tech skills. My point is that your uncle was selling, maybe to pay rent. The tender said they were stuffed full of silver coins.

Lol silver is barely worth mining, I have several silver claims in northern ontario, zero interest in developing them. My focus is on gold, and minerals used in battery tech. Silver is overpriced and no investors for new mines.

Stores can refuse to accept 50 or 100 follar bilss, so they most like aren't going to take anything they cannot deposit at their bank. Try to get face value for one of those "legal tender" silver dollars at a say wells fargo branch. Bet you a pound of silver they tell you to pound pavement.
