Tonight, the Moon will pass in between the Sun and the Earth, creating a total solar eclipse for parts of the world and a 'hybrid solar eclipse' for others according to NASA.

The eclipse will only be visible to those living in Australia and Southeast Asia, but NASA will stream the event starting at 10:30 EST.

NASA adds the eclipse is a "hybrid solar eclipse" which NASA explains takes place due to the Earth's curved surface. "Sometimes an eclipse can shift between annular and total as the Moon’s shadow moves across the globe. This is called a hybrid solar eclipse.""

A hybrid eclipse is another proof that the earf is a sphere as there is no other explanation for a stationary observer to see an annular eclipse turn into a total eclipse.
This is caused by the rotation of the earth bringing the observer to the top of the earth's curvature beneath the moon and shortening the distance between the observer and moon producing a total eclipse when before the observer was not at the top of the earth's curvature beneath the moon and therefore at a greater distance producing an annular eclipse.
