If it has to be shaped like a sphere or an orb, then it probably has to do with multiple singularities or something. That isn't simple, and deals with massive amounts of energy that you would have to generate and encapsulate, and then work out the mathematics to get something to move in the direction that you want.

It might be possible to do some type of anti-gravity similar to hand levitation or something, but that is stuff that you wouldn't even find on a conspiracy website. Much less would you find some so-called "scientist" attempting something like that.

That is what would have happened if people had tried to reach and 'tale down' the 'Blackbird' as well, it would have'sprung back to life and flown away', as because owing to the proprietary highly classified tech involved, they have built in self-destruct feature should it be taken into possession by anyone.
