Is there much difference between the elites who are destroying the US with wars, debt, and tyranny and the Americans who accept the wars, debt, and police state?

The very same Americans who swear that they love freedom then turn around and insist that websites must be outlawed, solar panels should be banned, free trade should be ended, and pot must be illegal.
