Used to back in the day,2019 and before about 5 times a month ... Food is just way way over priced to eat out... Went to wendys the other day for lunch back in nov and got 4 meals no drinks and it was nearly 40 bucks ...for a family of 4...INSANE Back in the early 1990s for a family of 4 went to Del taco and could get for a family of 4 ,10 bucks ... And before you say things just go higher ... My dad was making 80 grand a year in 1990,so buying a dinner for 4 at 10 bucks was CHEAP! Steak house we would go,get drinks and appetizers and STEAK for all 4 people,and a pitcher of beer and leave paying under 40 bucks...Those days are over!! Its sad to see what this country has become... We are going into a famine like we havent seen since the Great depression ... The gap of the rich and poor is growing .... Middle class is about gone... Grew up in a middle class home... Was nice to have a new car every other year and quads and do fun things on the weekend... Not anymore,this country has become a joke... But the electric bill was only around 25 bucks a month... Gas for a car was less than a dollar a gallon ... New car was about 13 grand....A Truck was 22 Grand... The good days of America is OVER... We are living in a country that will split into the Rich or poor ... Middle class is dead idea... I remember my dad angry the property Tax was high,at 200 bucks a year for school fees ... He was so pissed at that,he wanted the education system shut down...Those were the days... i remember going to the store every week and buying around 50 bucks of food filling the cart and filled with steak and ribs and all sorts of meat ... Yea America is dead for the most of us... Got my electric bill for march and it was 280 bucks... I dont make near what my dad made back in the 90s....not even close! Things are bad... But as a boomer you could have a low skill job and still afford to purchase a house, college education, car and other nice things working a low pay job. Today though people with very little skills are expected to compete for jobs that can barely put food on the table and most people here think that's fine. I guess these same people would be saying that slavery was fine 200+ years ago because that's basically what this is.
