Hollywood Writers Strike might get interesting. Who wants to bet Directors are contemplating replacing them with ChatGPT?

This might be the beginning of the end for Hollywood writers. If production starts up again before the strike is over, chances are really good that ChatGPT is being employed to deliver new scripts. All that would be needed for existing shows is for ChatGPT to go over their previous scripts, then the Director to instruct it to crank out new material, continuing where the real writers had left off.

Hollywood just keeps repeating the same plot lines over and over and over anyway, so what do they need humans for?

Maybe AI will come up with something original for a change.

True.

I'll know pretty quickly if production resumes. My neighbor and many people that live in my small town work in the studios. If I see them heading down to the city, then I'd assume AI has replaced the writers. If I hear my friends or neighbor losing their shit (or their houses), then the Directors are not too smart and didn't employ AI. I'd put it at a 99% chance that they use AI. Then yeah...we'll probably have equivalent or even better shows.

I'm pretty sure that the script for the new peacock series Mrs. Davis was written/co-written by AI.
Completely nonsensical plot, nonsensical in a weird messed up way,
as if a psychopath was trying to be funny and sophisticated.

I have to correct myself.
The right term to describe the vibes behind the script is autistic.
As if a highly autistic entitiy was trying to write a script for a TV show.

I've never seen it. Does it have a bunch of blatant, in-your-face LGBTQ+ crap in it?

True. Looks like the Writer's Union sees the writing on the wall, too. Limitations on AI are in their list of demands. Just found this:

You mean the Hollywood script writers were being paid for the garbage that they have been writing?

How can they go on strike?
They have nothing to offer.

The viewing population should go on strike from watching anything.

Yeah. My job will likely be taken over by AI soon. I'm thinking about starting up a shotgun shell producing business, where the pellets are neodymium magnets, useful for blowing AI drones and robots back to hell.

I know. One could make better scripts with MadLibs....which...huh...I guess they were.

It's the producers that decide.

It's a no-brainer, AI will rule the biz.

Hamburger flippers and accountants aren't the only ones tech will devour.
