Insurance fraud

A friend was talking to me yesterday about how dirty the horse business was; meaning that many owners or workers give the horses illegal steroids, then flush the horse’s system with large amounts of Vitamin C, so the steroids will not be detected during inspections.

Also mentioned was that jockeys will wear rings that inject drugs when the necks of the horses are “slapped” in the race.

Some owners will hire “barn rats” to act as espionage against other competitor’s horses… giving them debilitating drugs or causing harm in some other way.

Some horses die because their hearts become enlarged from the steroids.— all this was word of mouth, but I have no proof to share.

Probably got sick of hearing Derby pronounced Derrby, its pronounced Darbee.

Oh yes every horse race is suspect of insider manipulation.

Trainers have placed sponges in the horses nose to restrict airflow in a favored winner. Watch the odds before a race to follow how much money is placed on a particular long shot.

Sounds about right. Sad that this is true across the board for any competition.

I'm surprised the MSM hasn't blamed climate change.

2 died from injuries and had to be euthanized. 2 died in their stalls and they have no clue yet why.

I always suspected Barbaro was injected into his hind foot or leg to make it numb. When he came out of the gate it looked like he could not feel his leg or it wouldn't move. It is so cruel. He ended up being up down a year or so later. But, this with 4 horses...something is definitely afoot.
