Has anyone noticed that the normally lengthy FDA Drug approval process seems to be suspended for Pfizer and Moderna? Not just the vaccines. WTH?!

Has anyone noticed that the normally lengthy FDA Drug approval process seems to be suspended for Pfizer and Moderna? Not just the vaccines. WTH?!
What happened to the lengthy process to approve new drugs? It seems like the drug industry, especially Pfizer and Moderna, are announcing and introducing new drugs almost without an approval process.
