Which is why I never pay attention to the stars.

Allowing others to determine what I should find important or interesting would just make me another sheep.

That's true Jazzy, but you have to admit that it's changed. Usually when I come on, I do a quick scan of the pinned 4 or 5 star threads, then go back later and read all of them on the first page.

Now, when I go for a more thorough look, there are much more interesting threads with sometime only 2 or 3 stars.

I've stopped paying attention to them, though and just keep an eye on the "new threads" page.

Star system has joined the Karma system.
