The simple answer: the karma system is not communism, but...

Communism always uses similar systems to rate individuals on citizenship...overtly or covertly and rewards and punishments are handed out accordingly.


This is actually in contradiction to Marx who said to each according to his needs and from each according to his ability.



Marx himself never outlined a social credit system.


That was the invention of later communist politicians.


Marx was a bit more idealistic though some may say naive.
