If you do not have an old set of encyclopedias then I highly recommend you get a set, Something 1970 or before. They are not expensive, find one at a yard sale. Get a second set too, the oldest set you can find.

Plenty of "true history" has been found to be wrong since then.

Much more history has been “rewritten” because of woke bullshit. I would trust a book written in the early 1900’s over anything today, medical, history, science, what is considered healthy , etc etc

it's not wrong, that's a lie. if you want to confirm historical events you need multiple sources from that same era. hard cover books are the proof of such things, written as things happened, maybe even before or during. you will get differing accounts but only because every side has their own reasoning as in all things. but it is never wrong.

Certain Encyclopedia Judaicas (and the alternatives) are already hard to come by.

I have even come across entire chapters of books that were simply omitted from the file.

For some critical info containing titles, its not uncommon to see them listed for $3,000.00+ now.

well i've got a huge collection of hard copy books i collected back in the day. used to skip meals back in the day when i was broke just to buy books. some pretty rare shit.

Old books have value for info, but they're hard to store. I have a container filled with the damn things and I never read them since I have scanned copies on my network. I suppose they might be useful for someone if they still know how to read and the computers are all fried.

I had a lot of interesting books, among them a number of old volumes of the Encylopedia Brittanica.

I know someone mentioned 1970 as a year to get but what would be the last good year for a encyclopedia? I am guessing up until the mid 1990s before all this rewriting of history? I just went on ebay and its true. not many examples of used volumes to buy.
