Like the Germans at Stalingrad, the Ukies poured many of their best units in this to try and save it from the constant Russian attacks.

Like the Germans at Stalingrad, the Ukies have spent a ton of propo effort into this.

Like Stalingrad, this is a huge defeat, with many of their best troops left buried under the rubble of the city.

Like Stalingrad, the Ukies will have to pivot hard now to defend FOUR cities instead of just one, thinning them even further along the front.

I know they no longer teach history in US Schools, but you can learn a lot from it.

Absolutely comparable to Stalingrad.
Certainly not exactly the same, but there are many similarities.

After the Germans lost Stalingrad
That was it for them.
The war would go on for a few more years
But at Stalingrad Germany lost the war.

As for the casualties, the Ukrainian claims of Russia's
large losses is without any merit.

The fact is, Russia used artillery to do most of the fighting.
Russia normally pulls back from forward outposts when attacked.
These outposts are there to spot the enemy, and communicate
with HQ...and then they pull-back to the fortified line
of defense, usually about 2-3 km behind the outposts.

Then, Ukraine moves forward, attacking, and getting BLASTED
by artillery, rockets, missiles, mines, and the kitchen sink!

Everyday Russia provides a very detailed report of the
days fighting along the front line as well as other strikes.
They provide the locations, what was destroyed, how many KIA.
But, the Russians do not provide data on their own losses.

That said, it seems to me that throughout the conflict
Ukraine/NATO report very similar data to Russia's reports.
They claim Russia's losses are almost the same as theirs.
Therefore it looks fabricated, and ridiculous.
In fact, Ukraine tells their own people that they have only lost...
19,000 in the entire war.
That's because another 350,000 are listed as MIA.
That is, 350,000 permanent MIA's...few will be found alive.

The best estimate for Russia's losses are fewer than 50,000 dead.
Actually it's probably 30,000 KIA Russians.
Because the kill ratio seems to be 10 to 1.
That's 10 Ukrainian KIA for 1 Russian KIA.
And that is unsustainable.
(But...maybe NATO wants/need the Ukes dead...hum?)

The Ukrainian losses are STAGGERING!
Russian losses are far, far fewer.
Russia has the ability to get their wounded to medical care
quickly, back to a field hospital, and then onto a hospital
probably in Crimea at first.

Ukraine cannot care for their men, dead or alive.
They almost always leave their dead behind after a strike.
There is no way Ukrainian Army can deal with all the bodies.
Many Ukrainians are dying from wounds and lack of rescue.
Ukraine cannot fly helicopters for evacuation...
At least not anywhere close to the front line fighting.

Ukraine is fortunate Russia is allowing them to keep their
Lights on!

Russia can turn off Ukraine's electrical grid like that....SNAP!

My final point would be asking the question:

Q) WHY DOES UKRAINE NEED MORE TANKS, JETS, MISSILES, TRAINING?

A) BECAUSE EVERYTHING THEY STARTED WITH HAS BEEN DESTROYED.
