STOP obtaining permits and sell cattle shares to the customers (making them owners) 50 bucks per share they become part owner of the herd then charge boarding fees for the herd 30 bucks per month. For this the share owner recieves his share of milk from the herd = 3 gallons a week....

He needs more milk? no problem he can buy another share and pay 60 a month boarding fees.

Owners can drink the raw milk without a permit!

This is how it is done here...I'm on a wait list to buy shares :)

Yes, this is one option (and how it's done in my state). The harassment wouldn't stop though. On-farm sales in PA are legal and the reality is there's a high demand for not only raw milk, but also raw milk products. This is one reason so many PA dairy farmers object to the raw permit since they'd be limited to selling only milk and hard cheeses. What of the yogurt, kefir, whey, buttermilk, colostrum, cream and butter they wish to sell? These products are a big chunk of their income and the Senate Ag. Committee hasn't moved on changing the regulation (since last August's hearing) to allow these value-added products or exempting regulation of farmers who sell privately, via groups like CARE, and not to the public.

This alliance of small dairy farmers called CARE (Communities Alliance for Responsible Eco-Farming) only sell to consumer members of CARE. Farmers and consumers voluntarily enter into private contracts with each other - a Constitutionally-protected right - yet that hasn't stopped Candy Man Chirdon and his goons. Here's the latest on Greg Wise, a CARE farmer, [link to www.thecompletepatient.com]

The heat is on because Big Dairy doesn't want to share any piece of their pie. Big Dairy will NEVER be able to provide quality raw milk from their stench-filled confinement dairies. This is a niche that only small, sustainably-based, graziers can fill and it's driving them nuts.
